You're Not Alone a short film produced by our Halton CAMHS service

A short film based around the day in the life of a young person with mental health problems produced by our Investing in Children group from Halton CAMHS was premiered at the Brindley Arts Centre in Runcorn. The film, entitled ‘You’re Not Alone’ and partially funded by the Trust, was designed to reflect the young peoples’ experience of coming to our service and of meeting other young people with similar experiences.

Planning and filming took place over December and January 2010, with 19 service users taking various roles including actors, directors, sound engineers and editors. 250 copies of the DVD will be distributed to local schools and youth groups. One young person said: “The project not only helped me meet amazing people but by being trusted I learnt to trust myself, gaining confidence in the old me.”
