Please support our Fairhaven Charity Swimathon
Young people and staff from our Warrington-based Fairhaven Unit will attempt a sponsored swimathon today in aid of leading mental health charity, Mind.
The participants will swim continuously for two hours in their very own swim lane individual lane which was kindly donated free of charge by the venue - Woolston Leisure Centre.
“This is the first time our young people have organised and hosted their own charitable event and we are extremely proud of their efforts,” says Rob Keegan, Activities Co-ordinator at Fairhaven.
“They wanted to give something back to their local community and chose Mind as their beneficiary in recognition of their ongoing efforts to support people with mental ill-health.”
If you wish to sponsor our young people’s efforts please email your name and the amount to Robert.keegan@5bp.nhs.uk
We will then contact you to arrange payment after the event.
Fairhaven Young People’s Unit is a mixed sex mental health assessment and treatment centre for 14 to 18 year olds. It is based on Birch Avenue in Warrington.
