Occupational Health and Wellbeing Service

The Occupational Health and Wellbeing Service is committed to providing a Safe, Effective, Quality Service to the staff of the 5 Boroughs Partnership NHS Foundation Trust and as such is a SEQOHS approved service.

The objectives of the Department are:

• To offer advice for all employees of the Trust on matters regarding health, safety and wellbeing at work.
• To promote good health and prevent avoidable work related health problems.

We are committed to promoting health and wellbeing. Regular health awareness events are held throughout the year including smoking cessation, stress management, managing back pain and seasonal flu vaccinations.

We provide early intervention for both musculoskeletal and mental health problems via our Physiotherapists and Counsellors. In most cases the prognosis of these conditions can be improved considerably if treated early. Both services provide outreach clinics throughout the boroughs, should you be unable to get to Hollins Park. These services are available as self -referrals by contacting the Occupational Health department on 01925 664010.

If sickness does cause you to be absent from work, or if you have a particular health problem, your manager can refer you to Occupational Health for advice. The Occupational Health Nurse or Doctor will be able to determine any specific problems related to work and offer advice to both you and your manager.

An Immunisation and vaccination programme is also available for staff to protect both the individual and service users.
