Information on mental health conditions and the local NHS will be available at Warrington Market on World Mental Health Day.

Information on mental health conditions and the local NHS and voluntary sector service providers who support people with them will be available at Warrington Market on World Mental Health Day.

Warrington Disability Partnership and 5 Boroughs Partnership NHS Foundation Trust are jointly hosting an event on Wednesday 10 October.

From 10am until 3pm shoppers will have an opportunity to browse stalls which will be situated at the rear of the market hall.

These will include a display of art work and poetry produced by people with experience of mental ill-health.

“Wednesday marks the 20th anniversary of World Mental Health Day which will have a focus on depression this year,” says Dave Thompson, Assistant Director of Inclusion and Partnerships.

“We wanted to create an opportunity for people to take away information either for themselves or someone they know or care for, and identify sources of support they can access. We hope that people will call by and ask questions, but most of all walk away feeling more assured that help is available for the people of Warrington at the most difficult and vulnerable times of their lives.”

If you are a mental health service provider and would like a stand at the event, please contact Sue Pearson, Warrington Disability Partnership Support Worker, on 01925 240064.
