Equality, Diversity & Social Inclusion

We are here to support the mental well-being of all people living in the boroughs of Halton, Knowsley, St Helens, Warrington and Wigan, regardless of their age, disability, race, ethnic or national origin, gender, religion, belief, sexual orientation, domestic circumstances, social or employment status or responsibilities as a carer.

We deliver our services via a workforce that is made up of many talented individuals with a large diversity of backgrounds, perspectives, styles and characteristics.

Valuing the differences of each community and team member is one of our fundamental beliefs and a key governance issue. It enables us to create respectful work environments, build enthusiastic teams, and better understand our service users" changing needs – ambitions reflected in our “Improving Working Lives” initiative.

Our Equality, Diversity and Inclusion Unit, which sits within the Nursing, Governance and Performance Directorate, supports individuals and departments across the organisation, and works with a wide range of partners to develop and monitor equality and diversity initiatives around patient care and employment.
