One Vision for All Media Ltd, based within the Millennium Centre, St Helens are offering a free four week media training course starting next Monday for adults 19+. If you are a service user and are interested in attending this course then please continue to read below:

Interested in learning media skills?

The course will start on Monday 2 July and finish on Friday 27 July for a maximum of ten adults aged 19+. The course will cover training in all aspects of Media Skills and Life Skills, which we hope will lead to employment & volunteering opportunities, further training opportunities or to give Individuals the sk...ills that they can use in their everyday lives. The course will be divided into morning and afternoon sessions; Morning sessions will be 10am-1pm and afternoon sessions will be 2-5pm; students will be asked which sessions they would prefer to attend. The project will be divided into four sections. These are as follows:

Week 1 – Will include an initial Interview, Induction and Confidence and Assertiveness building and Stress Management Techniques.
Week 2 – Will include Introduction to Media Skills and Writing Skills
Week 3 – Will include Presenting Skills and Technical Skills
Week 4 - Will include Broadcasting on the Radio Station, Writing articles for the Newspaper and publishing them and an Evaluation session.
